The features listed below are introduced in 1.6 since the previous major release (1.5):

• Search features improvements, including listing of results features and new search field types,
• More interactions between content types, allowing to insert CCK forms in content types,
• New improvements in the template engine (location)
• An amazing "list" module to create powerful Slideshow for example…

Mature Search Features

You will now be able to build very powerful list and search forms. We try to answer all your needs, so don’t hesitate to post your feedbacks in jSeblod CCK forums 

It is now possible to order your search results according to priority criteria. Imagine a hotel search, you can now order the search results by first displaying 5-star hotels, then 4-star, then 3-star...

We add search and list features for a lot of field types like Checkbox, Select (Dynamic, Multiple), Upload (Image, Simple), Wysiwyg. Almost all fields are searchable (external article field types are coming soon too).

You will be able to have very advanced search form and list:

• Comparison, ex: higher price than a defined amount and lower than another
• With one search field, search in many field values: like a localization field which search in address, postal code, city...
• Search in a portion of field values (target features): like searching only in the year of a date, in a portion of a postal code (France: possibility to search only for the department, defined by the postal code)
• Consider only words with more than X characters for your search (length features)
• transform a field in a other field: have a checkbox field in your form content and a dropdown list in your search form
• ...

And so many other features… So that it’s impossible to list all of them in this article! We will publish a special article to explain all search and list capabilities, soon…

Form module inproved

The form module (to easily call forms in a module) has two new parameters: a value importer for hidden field and text field. Now you can call any content fields in a form, called with form module which is in the same page as the content.

For example: in a contact form inserted in a properties content, get the email and the name of the properties owner in order to send him the contact form submission by email...

List module

A new module is out, opening a new world… Really!

With it, you will be able to call a jSeblod CCK list created with a search type. Imagine you can do a list of contents, filtered and sorted by any fields of your content type. It's just a module with predefined parameters… but a module with dynamic parameters!

For example: create a slideshow with images and other fields like title and subtitle from property contents; then sort and filter property content by any fields like date, state...

Access field by Location in templates

As you can see in the slideshow above, you can now call a field by its location in list template. It's like calling a field by a position but only for one field.

For example, you define in your list template: image, title, subtitle locations and you can then assign any field to this location without changing your list template... (the "Default Blog" template also includes some locations).

Install process

It is now possible to process a custom installation, for some people who encounters problems due to the size of the extension.
